Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Grants

2 July, 2019 –

Do you have an idea for a project, event or initiative that will contribute to truth, healing and/or reconciliation for people with lived experience of institutional child sexual abuse across Queensland?

Applications are now open for grants up to $10,000 to undertake activities during October and December 2019.

Applications are invited for projects, events or activities that:

  • Recognise the profound harm caused by institutional child sexual abuse, acknowledging other forms of institutional abuse.
  • Continue the conversation about institutional child sexual abuse, acknowledging other forms of institutional abuse across Queensland communities.
  • Raise awareness of institutional child sexual abuse, acknowledging other forms of institutional child abuse and its impact.
  • Create opportunities for meaningful connections with people with lived experience of institutional child abuse.
  • Promote cultural change in responding to people with lived experience of institutional child abuse and/or protecting children today.

Activities must be undertaken in a way that is respectful and supportive of people with lived experience of institutional child abuse.
