The Housing Ideas Bank is a way to share ideas and perspectives that can make a difference to housing in Queensland, now and into the future.
The Department of Housing invites ideas and proposals on innovative housing solutions and ways to support vulnerable Queensland of all ages and backgrounds.
Your idea could be about housing design, support networks, improving services and access to information, or different housing options.
- Affordable and innovative housing solutions
Proposals which deliver affordable and innovative housing solutions that support Queenslanders to access more diverse housing options. This may include development partnerships which highlight innovation in planning, design or sustainability.
- Ideas that support vulnerable families
Opportunities and ideas that assist vulnerable families, including families experiencing domestic or family violence.
- Improving the lives of young people
Innovative ideas that help young people gain important skills and employment opportunities while having access to appropriate and affordable housing.
- Providing housing pathways
Ideas on how to provide opportunities to connect people to the services and support they need to move through the housing continuum. This includes social and affordable housing, private market rentals and home ownership; including opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in regional and remote parts of the State.
- Supporting seniors
Solutions that support older people to have reliable and fair information about retirement living and homes that are designed to be adaptable and accessible at any age.
- Service delivery transformation
Ideas that encourage innovation and early intervention by transforming service delivery, referrals, coordinated support and personalised service for our most vulnerable tenants.
