23 October, 2017 –
I invite local community groups to apply for funding under the next round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, which opened recently. Eligible sporting clubs and community organisations are able to apply for funding worth between $500 and $35,000.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program and each year it distributes about $54 million of gaming revenue to Queensland communities.
Since coming to Government in 2015 the Palaszczuk Government has distributed $1,324,883 to community groups in Stafford via the Fund – this has helped our vital community groups to purchase much-needed equipment and upgrade their facilities.
I encourage all eligible organisations to submit applications through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund online grants portal. This fund is open to organisations that have not-for-profit objectives and are community based.
Groups have until midnight 30 November 2017 to submit their application.
