SES Week 2019

14 October, 2019 –

This week we celebrate our hard-working Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers and the amazing work they do to keep us all safe.

Their effort and commitment is without question and I would like each SES volunteer to know their contribution is appreciated.

If you’re looking to have a career in emergency services, or even gain some life experience and comradery in working with other volunteers to assist the community, consider reaching out to your local SES group.

Emergency services volunteers are made up of approximately 33,000 Rural Fire Service (RFS) volunteers, 5300 SES volunteers, a volunteer Research and Scientific Branch network and the Technical Rescue Unit volunteers.

Their purpose is to help Queenslanders prepare for, respond to, and recover from a range of disasters and emergencies.
