20 December, 2018 –
Over the school holidays, I encourage the community to report any suspicious behaviour they see at schools to the School Watch hotline.
The School Watch Hotline service is operated 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Each of our local Schools employ a range of targeted security measures including intruder detection devices, alarms and 24-hour monitoring and surveillance by police and private security firms.
However, everybody in our community has a role to play in keeping our schools safe from vandals, thieves or arsonists.
Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious at or around our local schools – Wilston State School, Wavell Heights State School, Stafford Heights State School, St Anthony’s Primary School, St Columba’s Primary, Stafford State School, Wavell State High School, Queen Of Apostles School, Somerset Hills State School, Padua College, Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Primary School, Mount Alvernia College or Kedron State School during the holidays should immediately call the School Watch Hotline on 13 17 88 or the police on 131 444.
