Roadwork to improve pedestrian safety

roadworks

26 April, 2018 –

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently working on improving pedestrian safety at the Gympie Road and Sadlier Street intersection at Kedron.

The safety upgrade includes installing new lanterns, audio drivers and new audio push buttons.

Work will be undertaken at night for the safety of the work crew and road users and to minimise the impact to the road network. Standard construction hours will be from 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday. Completion is expected by late June 2018.

Nearby residents may experience short-term impacts, including noise and lights from construction equipment and activities onsite.

Changed traffic conditions may include reduced speed limits, lane or shoulder closures and minor delays. Access will be maintained at all times.

For more information on this work, please contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads Project Team by emailing metropolitanregion@tmr.qld.gov.au or calling 3066 4338 during business hours.
