Queensland unemployment rate steady at two-year low

19 April 2016 –

Queensland’s unemployment rate has stayed steady at a two-year low as the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s Economic Plan continues to deliver jobs.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics figures for March show the trend unemployment rate was 6.0% compared with the revised trend figure of 6.0% in February.

Our Government is working hard to boost business confidence, attract investment, and partner with business and industry to deliver new job-creating projects and infrastructure. These figures mean 61,300 new jobs have been created under our Government (1,960 per month).
