4 March, 2019 –
The footbridge at Alderley station will be closed from 6:30am Thursday 7 March to 6pm Sunday 10 March while Queensland Rail undertakes flooring and drainage works over the four days to reduce water pooling after heavy rain.
The footbridge and lifts will be closed during the works to allow the flooring surface to be applied, cured and properly strengthened.
People may experience some chemical odour while flooring resin is being laid down and some parking spaces may be needed for contractor vehicles and equipment.
All cross-corridor access between the station platforms or between Hall Street/eastern side and Railway Place/western side will be via the South Pine Road level crossing (see map below).
The footbridge will reopen from the first rail service on Monday 11 March.
