12 February, 2020 –
Nominations are now open for young people aged 16-25 to join the Queensland Government’s Youth Engagement Panel (QYEP).
This is an exciting opportunity to build leadership skills, learn about influencing change and advocate on issues that are important to Queensland’s youth.
Since we established the QYEP a year ago, panel members from around the state have brought their experience and perspectives to the table, helping to shape and develop initiatives like Queensland Youth Week, health campaigns for young people, our cyberbullying initiatives and our Youth Engagement Charter.
There are three vacancies available on the 11-strong panel which was established in 2019. QYEP panel members are appointed for two years, but these vacancies have come up ahead of schedule because some of our panel members have taken up exciting new opportunities interstate and overseas.
Nominations close on Wednesday 11 March.
