New flashing school zone signs

Flashing School Zone Lights

17 September, 2019 –

New flashing school zone signs are set to be installed at three of our local schools which is great news for the Stafford community and the safety of parents, children and all road users!

The 40km/h signs will be placed on Minore Street to cover Wavell Heights State School, Primrose Street for Wilston State School, and Chuter Street for Queen of Apostles Primary School.

These new signs will be crucial in alerting motorists that they are entering a school zone and remind drivers to slow down and keep an eye out for children.

These signs are proven to increase safety for our youngest Queenslanders and it has been through passionate advocacy from concerned local communities that we are able to implement these additional safety measures.

Be sure to keep an eye out for these new signs and always adhere to the speed limit to create a safe environment for students at school.
