This Friday, 27th September is National Police Remembrance Day.
Across the state, events are being held to remember and honour Queensland police officers whose lives have been lost while performing their duties.
In Brisbane’s CBD –
A vigil will be held to honour those who have passed this Thursday evening, 26 September, from 7pm at the Queensland Police Memorial in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.
This Friday 27th September, a march will begin at 9am from Queens Gardens Park, travelling along George Street to the Queensland Police Memorial at the Botanic Gardens, where a memorial service will be held at 10am.
Blue ribbons will be available for a small donation, with proceeds going towards charities, Queensland Police Legacy and Community Supporting Police. Ribbons can also be purchased at any police station or police beat.
