Help shape the future of Queensland palliative care services

Palliative Care Services Review

10 August, 2018 –

Queensland Health is reviewing palliative care services in Queensland and invites you to share your views.

Our State’s growing and ageing population, combined with an increasing rate of chronic and life-limiting illnesses, continues to increase demand for palliative care services. Every Queenslander deserves the compassionate care they need if they experience a life threatening illness or are at the end of their life.

Feedback from palliative care service providers, patients and their carers, and the Queensland community is vital to the development of future palliative care arrangements.

The Palliative Care Services Review Consultation Paper outlines some of the key findings and directions arising from recent reports and other strategic directions in Australia.

You can provide input into the consultation process by emailing a submission to StrategicPolicy@health.qld.gov.au by Friday 24 August 2018.
