Queensland early childhood education review – have your say

Early childhood education review

17 July, 2019 –

Over the past 10 years, the State Government has worked with kindies and early childhood education providers to give Queensland kids the best possible start to their education.

This 2019-20 Budget invests $293.1 million into early childhood education, but it’s been almost a decade since most of the current funding and delivery arrangements were put in place and it’s time to check back in and see what can be improved.

An independent review is being conducted by Deloitte Access Economics for the Department of Education.

This review will be used to advance Queensland’s world class early childhood education system and ensure all children have a great start, no matter where they live in Queensland.

Among other things, the review will investigate options for improving access to kindergarten in rural and remote areas.

I encourage families, teachers and educators to have their say by taking part in Deloitte’s online survey at https://www2.deloitte.com/au/en/pages/economics/articles/queensland-early-childhood-education-review.html

The online survey is open until 9 August 2019.
