Grants available for local heritage places on the Northside

22 July 2016 –

I’m encouraging local community groups and individuals who own or look after a heritage listed place, to apply for a grant to help with conservation and maintenance costs.

This round of the Community Sustainability Action grants is focussed on preserving our unique local heritage listed places. The grants are to fund improvements or repairs such as, roofing, stumping, painting, or similar works.

This grant program is about helping the community access funding to improve or restore heritage places and to conserve the history of our communities.

There is a total of $680,000 in funding available in this round with applications closing at 5pm on Friday 19 August. To be eligible the building or place must be on the Queensland Heritage Register or a local government register.
