25 March, 2020 –
Our memorials play an important role in honouring our servicemen and women but unfortunately can get damaged or weathered over time.
Local veterans’ groups and community organisations can now apply for grants to restore, conserve or create public monuments and memorials that honour the virtues demonstrated by veterans – both at home and on the war front.
The Queensland Veterans’ Memorial Grants Program helps to ensure veterans’ groups and other eligible organisations can continue to create and conserve a lasting legacy for future generations.
Grants include funding of up to $40,000 per project and additional funding of up to $10,000 for conservation management plans.
This fourth and final round of the Queensland Veterans’ Memorial Grants Program closes 1 May 2020, with successful projects announced in August.
