24 March, 2020 –
If you’re thinking of applying for an Ergon-Energex Community Fund grant, there’s now a little more time: the new deadline is 5pm on Monday, 6 April.
The Ergon-Energex Community Fund is all about empowering local community groups across the state to deliver positive, innovative and long-lasting projects and initiatives that make a change for the better. If your community group has or will be affected by recent events then I urge you to look into this.
Not-for-profits can apply for up to $5,000 of project funding. Plus, there’s also a People’s Choice award for one lucky recipient to receive an additional $5,000.
Eligible projects might support disaster recovery, diversity and inclusion, education, energy and environmental conservation, electrical safety or renewable energy upgrades, or provide essential equipment or facilities.
Last year’s recipients included Young Diggers at Strathpine, who provide assistance dogs and support services to veterans with PTSD.
