Electricity savings for concession card holders

In 2018–19, the State Government will be investing $212 million to fund a range of energy rebates and concessions to support vulnerable customers.

This includes $196 million to deliver the $340 per year electricity rebate to eligible pensioners, seniors, and veterans.

Rebates are available to people who have any of the below:

  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card (and receive the War Widow/er Pension or special rate TPI Pension)
  • Queensland Seniors Card
  • Commonwealth Health Care Card (Electricity Rebate only)
  • Asylum seeker status—residents will need to provide their ImmiCard details (Electricity Rebate only).
