6 August, 2019 –
There are a number of Queensland Government grant programs which provide funding to help local businesses to establish, grow, and employ more staff.
Applications are now open for the latest rounds of the Business Growth Fund and Small Business Entrepreneur Grants.
The Business Growth Fund helps small to medium businesses to grow and take on more staff through funding of up to $50,000 to purchase and implement specialised equipment or services.
Successful applicants must provide a co-contribution of 25% to 50% of the total project cost. The government contribution will be determined by an assessment panel and the next round of application assessments will take place in September.
Small Business Entrepreneur Grants provide matched funding of up to $5,000 to assist small businesses in the startup phase to access professional advice and support such as mentoring/coaching, business and strategic planning, and marketing strategy development. Applications for this latest round close on 30 August.
Local businesses such as Revival Art and Design Gallery (pictured) have been past successful Entrepreneur Grant recipients.
