Active Clubs grants for equipment or training

21 October, 2019 –

Stafford is home to an array of active sports groups including AFL, netball, hockey, rugby league, soccer, and swimming, and it’s always a pleasure to get to attend home games and events.

Grants of up to $2,000 are now available for community sport and active recreation groups to purchase essential equipment like bats and balls, helmets and padding, or resources and support for coaches and volunteers.

The Palaszczuk Government’s Active Clubs program is investing $5 million over three years in equipment and training for clubs across Queensland that support and encourage Queenslanders to get physically active.

This new initiative is to cultivate grassroots participation in sport and active recreation.

Under this round of the program, organisations will have until 15 November 2019 to apply, and Projects will commence from 31 January 2020.
