13 December, 2017 –
I am deeply honoured to have been re-elected to represent the people of Stafford in the Queensland Parliament. I look forward to continuing to work with our community over the next three years.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank locals for placing their trust in me and also to thank the many volunteers who worked tirelessly during the election campaign.
It’s also an honour to be sworn in once more as a Minister in a Labor Palaszczuk Government. It’s back to work now as the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy with added responsibilities for energy and water supply.
I am very much looking forward to building on the successes of our first term – working with businesses and industry to create more than 130,000 new jobs, restoring frontline services, investing record budgets in health and education, and strengthening our economy through investments in infrastructure and innovation.
To everyone in the electorate, please know my door is always open to discuss local and state issues.
