9 June 2016 –
I recently presented Alderley’s Flipside Circus with a small grant of $500 to upgrade their juggling equipment.
Flipside Circus is Queensland’s largest youth circus company. The not-for-profit organisation, based in Alderley, has a national reputation for excellence and training the circus performers of the future.
The funds will be used to purchase replacement juggling and manipulations equipment for Flipside’s circus training, fitness, and performance classes (like the one in the video). Over 22,000 participants train with Flipside Circus every year, ranging in age from 18 months to 17 years.
The electorate of Stafford is home to an extraordinary range of community organisations. From sporting and recreation groups, like Flipside in Alderley, through to community health and support organisations like Stafford and District Meals on Wheels, and Burnie Brae in Chermside.
