Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) professional development for local teachers

The Queensland Government has launched a new program to up-skill local teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

All Queensland State School teachers can now register to participate in STEM professional development programs. These programs help teachers improve their STEM skills and knowledge, and brush up on the latest teaching and learning techniques.

The programs focus on:

  • Coding and robotics for Prep to Year 10.
  • Primary science for Prep to Year 6.
  • Junior secondary mathematics and science for Years 7-10.
  • Senior physics, mathematics B, and chemistry for Junior Secondary mathematics and/or science teachers to transition to Senior Secondary.
