The Palaszczuk Labor Government is delivering $12 million in Community Sustainability Action grants over the next three years.
This program supports new ideas and innovative environment, wildlife, and heritage projects.
The grants are for local community groups and individuals to conserve the Northside’s unique environment and heritage places. There is a particular focus on:
- Rehabilitation, protection and support for Queensland’s unique environment and wildlife
- Koala research to support populations in the wild
- Tackling invasive species
- Conserving local heritage places.
I am excited about this program because it supports innovation and the local environment. Support for innovation can lead to better environmental outcomes as well as the discovery of new products and new ways of working.
