Anthony recently meet with local Ferny Grove artist Scott Hanson to take possession of a new artwork for the Stafford Electorate Office.
Scott is a client of Chermside’s Community Access Respite Services (CARS) which provides support for people with a disability and their families. Scott suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and creates all his artworks using a computer mouse he operates with his mouth.
Scott says it can take up to six-months to create each one of his artworks – which have been exhibited in the Arana Hills Library and at CARS Chermside office.
Scott trained in animation at the Ithaca TAFE and is hoping more of his work makes it to walls around Brisbane. “I love playing with colour and bright images, and all my work centres around hope,” said Scott.
If you are interested in Scott’s work contact CARS on 3350 6688.
