Made in Queensland – grants to help local manufacturing

Made in Queensland

18 February 2017 –

I encourage local manufacturers to take advantage of new Queensland Government grants to help grow local businesses and support local jobs.

The Queensland Government is offering matching grants of between $50,000 and $2.5 million to Queensland-based manufacturers employing between five and 200 people.

Eligible businesses go through benchmarking that recommends what they can do to innovate and grow. They can then apply for grants from Made in Queensland to do what has been recommended.

Made in Queensland funding will be available for two years or until the $20 million fund is expended, so manufacturers need to get in early. These grants align with the $7.8 million Advance Queensland Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan that is supporting businesses to transition from traditional to advanced manufacturing.
